What began as a small Women’s History Month gathering in 2021 has grown into a collective of like-minded women seeking deeper connections, shared identity, and community. Made For Us brings women together for experiences that encourage collaboration, support, and meaningful relationships where everyone feels valued and inspired.
As the community continues to grow, so does the vision. What started as intimate gatherings and conversations has evolved into a brand that reflects the same spirit of confidence, culture, and connection. Made For Us is more than a brand, it is rooted in community and representation. Every piece we create reflects the strength and individuality of the women we serve, and every event we host grows through the presence of the women who make this community what it is.
Our Founder
MADE For Us is a premium fashion and lifestyle brand that reflects the diverse heritage and influences of its British-born founder, Blu Ellis.
Her designs embody her London origins and the essence of Brooklyn, where she lived for over 20 years, layered with the vibrance of her Jamaican ancestry and the deep roots of her African heritage. Educated in fashion design, and with a talent for storytelling and community building, Blu set out to create a brand that celebrates cultural pride and the power of women.
Inspired by the creativity, resilience, and brilliance of Black women, she launched her first collection, Dope Black Woman. As a creative visionary, Blu approaches her work with intention, purpose, and impact, building a mindful brand in which identity is honored, representation is centered, voices are amplified, and community comes first.
Through MADE For Us, Blu continues to build more than a brand she is cultivating a global community where women are empowered to show up fully as themselves, without apology.
